I went to the 11th Kounose Gathering.

On July 2, 2022, the Kounose Gathering was held in the Kounose district.

Following on from the last Kounose gathering , this time too we participated in a local festival and interacted with each other.

This year marked the third anniversary of the heavy rains of 2020, so a memorial service and flower presentation were held.

This year, there were many stalls, including meals provided by the ladies known as "Kounose Madames" and grilled salted sweetfish provided by the men known as "Kamise Dandies."

At the end, fireworks were set off and many people celebrated the reunion, aiming to make Kounose a place people want to return to after the flood two years ago.

We stayed the night at Kounose Nursery School, and the next morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast at the home of Mr. Tamu, who lives near Uehara Bridge, where we were setting up the camera.

We also installed an Amazon Echo Show at Oiwa Shoten, a gathering place for local residents. It is equipped with Alexa, and we set it up so that ATOMcam can be activated by saying, "Alexa, show me a video of XX Bridge."

This means that even if you don't have the smartphone app, you will be able to view the camera just by voice, and we hope that even elderly people who don't have smartphones will become aware of the existence of the cameras.
